Doyle title chance tops Prospect Boxing’s latest Wishaw show
Eddie Doyle’s tilt at the vacant British Masters light-welterweight title will headline Prospect Boxing’s latest show at Wishaw Sports Centre on 24th February. Doyle will face a selected opponent on an action-packed bill that will also feature Steven Banks, Barry Craig, Kenny Davidson and Giuseppe Daprato in addition to undefeated trio Iain Butcher, Paul Allison and Gary McCallum. This show marks a busy period for Prospect Boxing who will be promoting their eighth show since their formation 18 months ago, and the promotional outfit’s figurehead Paul Graham is delighted to be returning to the Wishaw Sports Centre for a fourth occasion.
“Alot of the fighters I have are based in local area, so it makes sense for the fighters to have their fights here. We also enjoy a good relationship with the management of the hall. As a venue, it’s a good size with a capacity of 600, which gives the crowd a good view of the action and also builds a good atmosphere on the night,” began Graham.
“We are not a promoter with a TV contract so we have to rely on a crowd to build the show and as were on our eighth professional show we must be doing something right,” beamed Graham, who is a former professional referee.”
“The last few cards I have run here have been good cards and well received by the crowd and that shows were definitely doing the right thing! Also I have been lucky to have had the support of local business, with backing from C&CMOT and Service Centre and Air Conditioning Scotland, BBE and the local Mac’s bar sponsoring our next show at the Wishaw Sports Hallon on February 24th,” he added
Following feedback from fans who have attended Prospect Boxing’s previous shows, the promoter’s forthcoming show will have a fully-licensed bar to enable fans to enjoy a drink whilst celebrating their favourite fighter’s win.
