View the official scorecards for Khan v Peterson
Here is confirmation of the official scorecards from last night's dramatic encounter between Bolton's Amir Khan and Washington DC's Lamont Peterson.
The bout, which took place in the American's home city's Convention Center, saw the challenger wrest the WBA Super and IBF light-welterweight titles from Khan by split decision (announced as a majority decision) - 113-112 twice for Peterson with one card of 115-110 for Khan (originally announced as 114-111).
As one can see, referee Joe Cooper's points deductions against Khan for pushing in rounds seven and twelve proved absolutely crucial.
Team Khan and Golden Boy Promotions have asked for an inquiry to be made into the referee's performance and clarification given over the scorecards.
