Jamie Arthur to face Scott Quigg in February

Jamie Arthur after winning the Commonwealth belt in 2010Scott Quigg (23-0) will take on Jamie Arthur (18-5) for the first defence of his British super-bantamweight title on February 4 at the Reebok Stadium's Premier Suite in Bolton.

Welshman Arthur, 31, comes out of retirement for his first fight since February, when he lost his Commonwealth belt to Jason '2 smooth' Booth by split decision in a close fight.

Bury's unbeaten Quigg, 23, then defeated Booth in October to gain the British super bantamweight strap.

This will be Jamie Arthur's second attempt at a British strap. He dropped a unanimous decision to Martin Lindsay for the featherweight version in March 2010. Later that year, he picked up the Commonwealth super bantamweight title after decisioning Scot Kris Matthew-Hughes, despite being deducted two points during the fight for low blows.
