Goodwin Promotions 'War Zone' on October 8 at York Hall

Goodwin Promotions has announced details of its Saturday 8th October bill at the York Hall, Bethnal Green. If all goes according to plan, the show, branded ‘War Zone’, will feature 15 fights, including Toks 'The Viper' Owoh (19-5) as he continues his comeback against former Prizefighter contestant John Anthony (7-18-1) at Cruiserweight over six threes.

Islington middleweight prospect John 'The Gorilla' Ryder (5-0) takes on Wickford’s Danny Brown (2-1). Making his debut at Cruiserweight, Hoddeston's Butch Goldhawk, who fights out of the new Team Sparta Gym in Chingford, is in against Lithuanian Igoris Borucha (5-13-1).

The return of Ryan Barrett (23-9-2) is of interest. ‘Mr Attitude’ has stepped up to Welterweight after admitting he was struggling to make the lightweight 135lbs limit, and takes on former Midlands Area Light-Welterweight champion Gavin Deacon (6-21) from Northampton.

Eltham light middleweight William Cayzer (1-0), who dispatched journeyman Matt Seawright in the first round on his debut, will be looking to produce more of the same against Lincoln-based Rick Boulter (1-13-3). Michael Devine (5-1) from Luton takes part in his first six rounder, against Steve Gethin (11-63-3) from Birmingham.

Coming off his first pro win against the aforementioned Danny Brown, middleweight Diego Burton (1-0-1) goes in with Stuart Torduff (0-3).
There are also debuts for Sussex Lightweight Billy Lavelle and Philip Bowes from Leytonstone, London.
