George Groves pulls out of Saturday's bill with injury
'Saint' George Groves has pulled out of a scheduled appearance on Saturday night's Sky-televised bill from Liverpool citing injury.
The Commonwealth super-middleweight champion says his injury, picked up in training, will rule him out of activity for at least a week.
Purse bids for the mandated British title match between James DeGale and Groves are due at noon today.
It is exactly the type of fight which British boxing needs. If politics gets in the way of it happening, it will be another body blow to the sport after Groves' stablemate, WBA heavyweight boss David Haye failed to agree terms with Wladimir Klitschko.
