Exclusive - Arron handed European title incentive

Prince Arron has been handed a shot at the European light-middleweight title against Belarus’s unbeaten Sergey Rabchenko. The EBU has called for purse bids to be submitted by 12 noon on 21 November for the right to stage the vacant championship which has recently been relinquished by Lukas Konecny.

This is an intriguing clash between two in-form fighters. The 23-year-old Arron, 21-3-1, is undefeated in his previous 12 contests (one draw) which has seen him win the Prizefighter tournament and capture the British light-middleweight title in May with an entertaining twelfth round stoppage over former champion Sam Webb. The Droylsden stylist is penciled in to make the first defence of his Lonsdale belt against Brian Rose on 3 December.

Rabchenko is well known to British fight fans following a hat-trick of victories gained over Kevin McCauley (TKO1), former Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce (UD 12) and former British and Commonwealth title challenger Martin Concepcion (TKO 2). The 25-year-old Belarusian is unbeaten in 19 contests and looks like a banger with 14 wins arriving inside the distance.
