Brook and Jackiewicz make weight

WBA Inter-Continental welterweight champion Kell Brook (24-0) and his Polish challenger Rafal Jackiewicz (38-9-1) both were just inside the limit at this afternoon's weigh in for tomorrow's contest at Brook's home city venue, Sheffield's Ponds Forge.

Brook weighed 10st 6 1/4 lbs, his opponent 10st 6 3/4 lbs.

Both men looked ready for business and in fine shape, with a focused Brook stating simply, 'This fight is very important to me.'

It's an eliminator for the WBA title, though it's difficult to pin down which one in this day and age. 

Should the 25 year-old Ingle-trained Hillsborough stylist manage to stop Jackiewicz, 34, - a feat none of his opponents have yet managed - it would be impressive indeed.
