Battle of Culloden in 21st century

The last hand-to-hand battle fought on British soil was at Culloden in 1746 to bring to an end the rising of the Jacobites of '45. Now though, on 2 December there will be a new battle in hand-to-hand combat with gloves as opposed to swords, at the four-star hotel situated near the battlefield. "The Drumossie" hotel is a cracking venue for the first ever professional show in the Highland Capital, Inverness.

Chris Gilmour Promotions, in conjunction with the Inverness Caley Thistle F.C. Supporters Trust, have a wine and dine show with prospects Gary Cornish, Andrew Young and Alistair Chisholm all featuring.

The giant Cornish stands at 6ft 7ins and has stopped two of his three opponents thus far and remains undefeated. Injury has blighted Andrew Young's burgeoning career but he's now back in full trim and looking forward to his and the others' debut in their home city. Alistair Chisholm will look to make a statement on his second professional outing having won the boxer of the month award at the St Andrew's sporting club after his debut. The Highland firefighter will be seeking to light a fire in Inverness as opposed to his normal role of putting them out.

It has the making of a spectacular evening in the Highland Capital.
