Audley gets to keep his money

Audley Harrison will not be denied any of the purse relating to his WBA heavyweight title fight against David Haye last November.

A statement issued by the British Boxing Board of Control this afternoon reads, 'The Stewards of the British Boxing Board of Control having interviewed Mr. Audley Harrison MBE with regard to his contest against Mr. David Haye at the MEN Arena, Manchester on Saturday, 13th November 2010 have accepted his explanation and will not be taking the matter any further.'

Hmmm. Hardly expansive, is it? Regardless of one's view on the judgement, one important detail is missing. What was Harrison's explanation?
