Thompson-Cox purse bids placed on hold

Purse bids for Mark Thompson’s British welterweight title eliminator against Swindon’s unbeaten Jamie Cox, due to be opened tomorrow, have been suspended for a period of one month.

Manchester’s Thompson, who won a British title eliminator against Kevin McIntyre in January, is expected to be involved in meaningful action on the undercard of Matthew Macklin’s European middleweight championship defence in Birmingham on 16 April.
