PG makes a decent brew in his first promotional pot

Paul Graham, the former referee turned promoter from Fauldhouse, had his debut as a promoter in Cleland Miners Club on Sunday afternoon. By any standard, PG made a decent fist of his first punch in this new career.

His three bout show featured Kris "Badger" Hughes in a preparatory match for his forthcoming Commonwealth title fight against Matthew Marsh by way of an six round exhibition against Shaun Doherty from Bradford

Craig Windsor Jr won a close points decision over Cumbria's Martyn King over six rounds to stay unbeaten and Craig Docherty rolled back the years with a shut-out against Ryan Clark from Lincolnshire.

The stress of promoting would have PG tearing out what little hair he has, but his first attempt has gone down well in Lanarkshire, and he won't have the World Cup to contend with as a diversion on his next effort.
