Night Nurse gets his first title shot

By Jamie Albrecht: Rising Huddersfield starlet Tyrone Nurse will return to action on Saturday 9th October in front of his native Huddersfield support as he bids to land his first professional championship.

'Night Nurse' goes for the British Masters light-welterweight title against the experienced John Baguley.

The fight at the Huddersfield leisure centre signals a milestone for 20-year-old Nurse. Not only is it his first title contest, but it will also be the prospect’s first taste of potentially fighting the ten round distance.

Baguley represents a solid test. Though at first glance, his record is far from exemplary, he has provided a reliable testing ground for many a young boxing hopeful and will be looking to test Tyrone to his limits when they meet. Vinny Mitchell was the last man to fall against Baguley, despite going into the fight an undefeated favourite. Baguley’s chances of a repeat performance must not be underestimated.

Tickets for the bill, which will also feature a number of other Yorkshire up and comers, such as Chad Gaynor and Liam Walsh, are priced at £30 general admission and £50 ringside and are available from WWW.VIPBE.CO.UK
