IBO hint for Hatton?

The International Boxing Organisation (IBO) appears to have laid down a welcome mat for Ricky Hatton's comeback fight.

As Manny Pacquiao, their current light-welterweight champion, has said he wants to continue at welterweight, the IBO are looking elsewhere.

"With the confirmation that Manny Pacquiao will continue campaigning at Welterweight, the IBO will go forward and open the Junior Welterweight division which will be contested by the two leading available contenders," reads a press release from them sent out just after 3pm this afternoon.

For TV and the non-hardcore boxing fan, a title of some kind still seems important and the IBO has unsubtly thrown their belt into the ring.
