Fury to take up arms against Israel, live on PPV

Manchester's favourite heavyweight gypsy behemoth Tyson Fury will take on Israel, live on PPV.

The talkative prospect (12-0) asked for a step up in opposition but surely taking on a proud, war-torn nation on his own is a challenge too far, even for this legend in the making?

Of course it is, silly.

Proposed opponent for Fury's bout on the December 18th Primetime-televised Jean Pascal v Bernard Hopkins card from the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Canada, is one Israel Carlos Garcia (20-3).

A disclaimer is necessary here - this is umpteenth 'Tyson Fury opponent announced' story BoxRec News has carried in his brief career and almost all of them have been inaccurate, despite being told most of them in fight week by Fury himself.

According to BoxRec, Garcia is a 40 year-old New York-based Puerto Rican who carries the nickname 'King Kong'.  The only two opponents most British fight fans will recognise on his log are Denis Boytsov (L RSF 2) and Chris Arreola (L RSF 3).
