Fury opponent change, part 83

Tyson Fury will not now face Israel Carlos Garcia this Saturday in Canada as previously announced.  The Mancunian giant faces - at the time of writing - 29 -year-old Missouri journeyman Galen Brown (33-15-1) on the undercard of Jean Pascal-Bernard Hopkins in Quebec.

When we ran the previous announcement, I wrote "A disclaimer is necessary here - this is umpteenth 'Tyson Fury opponent announced' story BoxRec News has carried in his brief career and almost all of them have been inaccurate, despite being told most of them in fight week by Fury himself."

Hmm.

Anyway, Brown is a tanktown fighter and, would you believe, a former super-middle who lost in seven to Robert Steiglitz in 2004.  He's also been stopped inside the distance by Rob Calloway, Prince Badi Ajamu, Brian Minto, Tye Fields and, most recently, another unbeaten giant in Mariusz Wach.

Look for Fury to destroy him in quick time.
