Exclusive - Injured Rhodes latest withdrawal from less than 'Magnificent' bill

According to BoxRec News sources, Ryan Rhodes’ European light-middleweight defence against Lukas Konecky is off Frank Warren’s decreasingly 'Magnificent Seven' bill at Birmingham’s LG Arena on 18 September.

Rhodes is believed to be sidelined with a back injury and will not be ready to defend the crown he won against Jamie Moore in time. (pic left, by Chris Royle)

Rhodes’ expected withdrawal follows on from yesterday’s news that Darren Barker’s European middleweight title showdown against Matthew Macklin is also off the bill. Barker has suffered an injury to his hip.
