Economides gets Turley for Welsh title match

It has been announced that Chester’s exciting prospect Paul Economides (9-1) will challenge Cefn Forest based super-bantamweight Robbie Turley (8-3)for the vacant Welsh title.

This North-South encounter, scheduled for February 5th in Newport, is destined to get the juices of the principality's fight fans flowing. Speaking to BoxRec News, Economides could barely contain his excitement.

“We have already started our seven week camp and I’m really excited! I’m going to bed and waking up thinking of this. This is why I turned pro, to win a title.”

The likeable ‘Spartan’ however, is under no illusions about the task that lies ahead.

“I see this as a 50/50 fight, even if I am fighting away. I am confident that if I stick to Mr Goodwin’s game plan I will win this. I am going to be in the shape of my life.”

Welsh fight fans (and, of course, BoxRec News) will be following this bout very closely.
