Brisbane, Australia: Light Middle: Anthony Mundine Jr (39-3) W PTS 12 Carlos Jerez (30-13-3,1ND). Heavy: Alex Leapai (19-3) W TKO 4 Travis Walker (34-5-1). Super Middle: Peter Mitrevski Jr (23-6-1) W TKO 4 Junmar Dulog (6-21-2). Australian veteran Mundine uses height reach and sharp jab to outbox game Argentinian. Fighting at his lowest weight in his career Mundine wins vacant WBA International title on scores of 120-109 and 118-110 twice. Samoan Leapai, 30, halts “Freight Train”. Laeapai now unbaten in last eleven and has 15 by KO/TKO. All of Floridian Walker’s losses have come inside the distance. Mirevski warms-up for vacant Commonwealth title fight with Martin Murray with stoppage of Filipino Dulog who has won only one of his last 13.

Sydney, Australia: Cruiser: Dominic Vea (13-2) W PTS 12 Oscar Siale (12-5). Middle: Robert Medley (29-3) W TKO 5 Gary Comer (20-10-1). Super Middle: Josh Clenshaw (29-17) W TKO 6 Leroy Brown (6-2-1). Great Commonwealth title fight as 48-hour sub Siale gives favourite Vea a scare and a good fight. New Zealander Siale , a 39-year-old southpaw, shakes Vea and burst open his nose in first round. Vea came out punching in the second and from then on it was a tough scrap for both fighters. Vea’s gashed nose was a bad injury, but he was allowed to fight on (in his last fight, a loss to Anthony McCracken, Vea, 29, entered the ring with a broken nose courtesy of a sparring session with Danny Green) and eventually collected the vacant Commonwealth title on a majority verdict on scores of 116-113, 115-113 and 114-114. Siale gets plenty of credit for saving the show and putting up such a great fight.

Lanky Medley too good for fading 34-year-old southpaw former Australian champ Comer. Medley’s losses have been to world rated fighters Isaac Hlatshwayo and Tony Mundine Jr. Promoter Clenshaw made it a good night for his side as he proved too tough and strong for novice Brown and scored three knock downs on the way to his stoppage win. Josh, now 33, is a former Aussie middle and light middle champ.

July 2

Ontario, USA: Light Welter: Demetrius Hopkins (30-1-1) WPTS 10 Mike Arnaoutis (22-6-2). Light Welter: Francisco Contreras (15-0) W PTS 8 Eric Cruz (7-4-3). Easy night for The Gladiator as with is height and reach advantage he leads from the start and generally dominates all the way. Arnaoutis tries to turn fight around but has nothing to offer against the better boxing of Hopkins, 29, and loses a wide unanimous decision. Scores 100-90 and 99-91 twice. Hopkins lost a split verdict to Kendall Holt for the WBO title in 2008. Greek Arnaoutis, lost to Ric Torres for the WBO title in 2006 and has now lost 4 of his last 5. Dominican Contreras generally the aggressor against late sub Cruz from Puerto Rico, who had good spell in the middle rounds. Contreras, 26, wins on scores of 80-72 twice and 78-72.

Vililers Le Bel, France: Heavy: Carlos Takam (21-1) W TKO 4 Pavels Dolgovs (5-7-1). Poor match as Latvian Dolgovs is floored in each of the first two rounds and takes steady punishment before referee saves him in fourth. Takam, 29, is from Cameroon and has won 17 by KO/TKO.

Santiago, Panama: Jaider Parra (17-0-1) W PTS 11 Joel Cerrud (20-5-2). Welter: Gilbert Quiros (18-12-1,1ND) W TKO 1 Pablo Vazquez (18-1). Light: Evens Pierre (14-1) W PTS 9 Augusto Pinilla (14-4-1). Venezuelan Parra, the brother of former WBA fly champ Lorenzo, wins vacant WBA Fedlatin title but only on wafer thin majority decision over 26-year-old southpaw. Panamanian Cerrud on the floor in the first and he just fails to make up the lost ground. Scores 107-105, 106-105 and 105-105. Huge shock for locals as previously unbeaten Vazquez kayoed in a round by 39-year-old Costa Rican. The sacrificial lamb ate the eater. Again first round knockdown features as Haitian Pierre floors local boxer twice and goes on to collect vacant WBA Fedcentro title on scores of 89-80 twice and 88-81.

Nakhon Panthom, Thailand: Super Fly: Ponsaklek (76-3-1) W KO 1 Rey Mergrino (12-12-2). WBC champ Pongsaklek , 32, takes just 97 seconds to kayo young Filipino in a mismatch. The amazing Thai, a southpaw, has taken part in 21 WBC title fights, which is only five short of Mergrino's career total of bouts.

Tijuana, Mexico: Fly: Manuel Vargas (27-5-1) W KO 1 Ric Armenta (10-7-1). Former interim WBO strawweight champ Vargas, 29, returns to the winning column after tough losses to Donnie Nietes (in a WBO title fight), and Nonito Donaire, and puts away poor Armenta in a mismatch.

July 3

Tlalnepantle, Mexico: Super Fly: Hugo Cazares (32-6-2) W TKO 7 Everardo Morales (34-15-2,1ND).Super Fly: Jose Cabrera (18-2-1) W TKO 4 Jose Lopez. Cazares, 32, retains his WBA title for the first time with a stoppage over experienced Morales, 33, but it is a tough fight. Both swapping punches early and Cazares hurt and cut by left eye in third and Morales cut on the right eyelid and eye swelling in fifth. The bigger punch of Cazares settles it as a big left ends it in seventh. The fourth title shot for Morales (fifth if you count interim titles) who had his first one back in 1997. NABF champ Cabrera, 23, forces Lopez to retire at end of third for easy win in non-title bout.

Reno, USA: Super Fly: Ulises Solis (31-2-2) W PTS 10 Eric Ortiz (32-11-3). Welter: Mark Melligan (19-2) W PTS 10 Agnes Adjaho (25-3). Light Heavy: Joey Gilbert W(20-2,1ND) W PTS 8 Bill Bailey (10-9). Former IBF light fly champ “Archie” Solis, 28, beats former WBC champ Ortiz, 33, for the second time. The skills of Solis just too much for Ortiz. After a couple of even rounds Solis just runs away with the night and scores knockdowns in ninth and tenth to win unanimous verdict on scores of 99-88 and 98-89 twice. Solis could go for title shot either light fly or fly.

Filipino southpaw lightweight Melligan 24, fighting up at welter is the busier fighter and more accurate puncher, Adjaho, a 30-year-old from Benin, fights more like Agnes than Anges and only puts the pressure on in a couple of the middle rounds and then fades. Scores 97-93,98-92 and 99-91. Good workout for local fighter Gilbert as he is too busy and accurate for Bailey and wins unanimous decision on scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice. Joey rebuilding after testing positive for a banned substance in 2007.

Hattiesburg, USA: Heavy: Deontay Wilder (11-0) W TKO 1 Dustin Nichols (4-3). Another piece of Wilder rubbish. Poor Nichols retires at the end of the first round. Olympian Wilder 24 and 6’7” tall, has won all eleven by KO/TKO, nine in the first round which says everything about his opposition, and tells us nothing about Wilder’s ability.

Baden-Wurttenburg, Germany: Cruiser: Steve Herelius (20-1-1) W TKO 11 Firat Arslan (29-5-1). Light Middle: Jack Culcay (5-0) W PTS 6 Omar Siala (12-13-2). Cruiser: Rakhim Chakhkiev (6-0) W PTS 6 Lukasz Rusiewicz (8-9). Drama as 39-year-old former WBA champion Arslan collapses in his corner at the end of the eleventh round. Tall Frenchman Herelius 33, controls the fight early with his right jab, but Arslan takes over and has Herelius in serious trouble in seventh. Herelius loses a point for a butt in the ninth and then in the eleventh fight swings completely as Helenius uppercut seems to take all of the fight out of Arslan. He gets back to his corner, but then collapses, is taken to hospital for obsevation, but released the following day. Herelius , a southpaw and a former kick-boxer, extends his unbeaten run to eight and wins vacant WBA interim title. Arslan had been inactive for almost two years and it may have been unwise to be fighting for the title after such a long period of inactivity.

Former World amateur championh Culcay wins every round on all three cards. Culcay, 24, is German, but was born in Ecuador. Siala has now lost five of his last six. Russian southpaw Chakhkiev, 27, an Olympic gold medal winner in Beijing and a World championships silver medallist, taken the distance for the first time. Wins wide unaniomous verdict over Pole with a good chin.

Mexico City, Mexico: Light: Daniel Estrada (23-1-1) W KO 9 Juan Pablo Sanchez (12-8,1ND). Bantam: Chris Esquivel (19-2) W TKO 2 Rodolfo Garay (27-18-1). Feather: Juan Antonio Rodriguez (11-2) W TKO 6 Hugo Morales (10-5). Light: Carlos Zarate Jr (9-0) W PTS 6 Fernando Salazar (2-9)Now unbeaten in his last 20, Estrada, 25, retains WBC CABOFE title. The tall 25-year-old “Tremendo” makes it 19 by KO/TKO. Esquivel,23, holds on to WBC Continental Americas title with predictable stoppage of Garay. Now seven of his last eight won by KO/TKO for Esquivel. Southpaw Rodriguez on top when Morales does not come out for the sixth due to a cut. Rodriguez retains WBC Youth title. Zarate, 22, wins on all three cards. Two world champions in the ring-but they both climed out when the bell went. Carlos Jr had Dad in his corner and Salazar had former WBC fly champ Jose Luis Bueno in his.

Tokyo, Japan: Feather: Naoki Matsuda (33-8-4,1ND) W PTS 12 Jun Suk Soh (10-9-1). Middle: Koji Sato (17-1) W KO 3 In-Young Yoon (8-2). Mastsuda, 35, makes first defence of his OPBF title with what was an easy unanimous win over 34-year-old South Korean southpaw. Matsuda did not fight well, but he did not have to as the Korean was poor.Scoring 119-111, 118-110 and a 115-114 (from the South Korean judge). Sato retains his OPBF title for seventh time as he kayoes 36-year-old South Korean with a big right. Sato was stopped in seven rounds by Felix Sturm for the WBA title in 2009.

Auch, France: Super Middle: Chris Rebrasse (14-1-1) W RTD 9 Pierre Moreno (36-13).Rebrasse, 24, wins vacant French title as he halts experienced Moreno, 37, on a cut. Rebrasse now unbeaten in his last twelve. Fourth shot at winning a French title for Moreno.
