"The Assassin taken out"

The “Aberdeen Assassin” Lee McAllister has had to withdraw from the David Haye - John Ruiz undercard at the MEN arena on April 3, due to a ligament injury sustained in sparring in preparation for his Commonwealth lightweight title defence against Ben Murphy.

 

McAllister is, to use that boxing cliché “totally gutted” at this hiccup, in that being featured on the undercard of such a massive television event would have given the Aberdonian the level of world wide exposure all boxers crave.
