Tyson Fury no show explained
BoxRec News correspondent Lee Collier bumped into Tyson Fury last week and had a quick chat with the big Mancunian.
Fury (right, by Chris Royle) told Lee that he would be fighting on the undercard of Saturday's Brentwood show against Yavor Marinchev, the heavyweight import who took Big Larry Olubamiwo the full six rounds the previous week.
However, the Darren Barker-Danny Butler headed card went ahead without the most talked about novice in British boxing.
Promoters Hennessy Sports got in touch with us today to explain the situation.
"We had to make the decision at around 1pm on Saturday afternoon to pull Tyson from the event as we had the usual problem of not be able to find an suitable opponent (same issue with sparring partners) from Canada, Europe or the UK.
"We were offering very good money."
