As well as speaking out in an attempt to clarify the WBA heavyweight title situation, the team behind John Ruiz, champion David Haye's mandatory challenger, have said they expect the pair to fight within a three week window in March-April 2010.

"Ruiz is the WBA number one contender and official challenger to new WBA champion David Haye (by May 30, 2010).

"We have been assured that the Haye-Ruiz WBA title fight will take place next year between March 13 and April 3."
