Mexico City, Mexico: Feather: Jhonny Gonzalez (42-7) W TKO 4 Marlon Aguilar (21-9-1). Super Fly: Oscar Ibarra (19-4) W TKO 6 Francisco Marquez (13-14). Former WBO bantam champion Gonzalez too much for modest Nicaraguan and ends it with right to jaw for WBC Fecarbox title. Ibarra climbs off the floor to put southpaw Marquez down twice in sixth for stoppage and wins vacant WBC Fecombox title.
 
New York, USA: Feather: Guillermo Rigondeaux (4-0) W PTS 8 Lante Addy. Luis Del Valle (8-0) W TKO 2 Noe Lopez (5-5) Cuban former amateur star floors Addy in first and wins wide unanimous decision. Addy a loser on points to Jason Booth for Commonwealth title in March 2003.

Paris, France: Heavy; Jean Marc Mormeck (34-4) W PTS 8 Vinny Maddalone (32-6, 1ND). Light Welter: Daoud Sow (3-0) W PTS 6 Damien Martin (5-4-2). Feather: Khedafi Djelkhir (5-0) W PTS 6 Bismark Alfaro (11-8, 3 ND). Moving up to heavy, former cruiser champion Mormeck and David Haye victim just too slick and busy for 35-year-old Maddalone and wins on scores of 79-73, 79-75 and 75-73. Good learning fights for Olympic medallists Sow and Djelkhir.
 
St Petersburg, Russia: Cruiser: Denis Lebedev (19-0) W TKO 6 Ali Ismailov (16-3-1).Heavy: Max Maslov (10-0-1) W PTS 12 Artur Marabyan (12-2). Cruiser: Alex Kotlobay (17-1-1) W TKO 1 Valery Volozhenin (12-1-1). Maccarinelli conqueror halts Azeri former WBA challenger on a cut to retain WBO Intercontinental title. Russian Maslov wins wide unanimous decision for vacant title for European fighters who are outside EU area (I know it is complicated- but that’s boxing today). Eleven wins in a row for Russian hope.
 
Commerce, USA: Light: Edner Cherry (25-6-2) W TKO 3 Jovann Jones (9-8). Light: Sharif Bogere (13-0) W PTS 6 Cris Favela (17-23-6). First bout since loss to Tim Bradley in WBC light welter challenger for Bahamian Cherry who floors Jones in each round. Seven losses in a row for Jones. Ugandan prospect Bogere win wide unanimous verdict, but sixth loss in a row for experienced Favela. Cherry looking for shot at Commonwealth title.

Kobe, Japan: Bantam: Hozumi Hasegawa (28-2) W TKO 4 Alvaro Perez 18-2-1). Feather: Takahiro Aoh (18-2-1 W PTS 10 Feider Viloria (22-6-1). Southpaw champion Hasegawa takes his time against aggressive Nicaraguan and a double left puts challenger face down in fourth. Tenth defence of WBC title for Hasegawa. Former WBC champion Aoh has no trouble with Colombian buts has to settle for points win on scores of 100-90, 98-93 and 97-93.
 
Junin, Argentina: Light Fly; Juan Revelco (22-1) W KO 3 Ronald Barrera (26-7-2). Super Feather: Jonathan Barros (27-0-1) W KO 3 Luis Martinez (6-4-5). Great body punch from former WBA champion Revelco sees him kayo useful Colombian and retain interim WBA title. WBO No 4 Barros, with former WBA champion Pablo Chacon in his corner, floors poor Colombian Martinez in second and puts him away with body punches in third, but not impressive.
 
Sydney, Australia: Feather: Billy Dib (24-1) W PTS 8 Roel Mangan (13-15-1). Super Middle: Mike Bolling (10-0) W PTS 10 Serge Yannick (4-1). Dibb wins routine, keep busy match. Bolling wins vacant Aussie title. Floors Yannick in eighth which proves decisive as he wins by 96-95 twice and 97-95.
 
Petionville, Haiti: Light Middle: Jimmy Colas (28-6) W KO 3 Junior Ramos (10-5). Super Bantam: Ricardo Cordoba (36-2-2) W TKO 3 Luis Murillo (10-7). Feather: Nic Walters (13-0) W PTS 11 Carlos Reyes 13-1). Middle: Mike Oliveira 11-0) W TKO 2 Eduardo Mercedes (5-3). Colas returns home, lets Dominican blow himself out in first and then easy kayo. A loser to Bernard Dunne for WBA secondary title, Cordoba easily handles Colombian to force stoppage in fourth. Brazilian Oliveira, touted as the second coming, has wild time as he is twice rocked badly in first but then batters Mercedes who can’t come out for second.
 
Latina, Italy: Light Welter: Brunet Zamora (19-0) W PTS 12 Chris De Busillet (23-8-2). Welter: Leonardo Bundu (20-0-1) W T DEC 7 Ronny McField (13-4-2). Cuban-born Zamora retains WBA Inter-Continental title as he beats French challenger on scores of 119-110, 116-114 and 115-113. Interesting, but not exciting match as Cuban-born Italian boxes his way to victory over “Angel Face”. European Union champion Bundu badly cut in clash of heads in second and bout halted in seventh with Bundu comfortably in front of Nicaraguan on points.
 
Lodz, Poland: Cruiser: Pawel Kolodziej (24-0) W RTD 6 Rob Calloway (70-11-2, 4 ND). Heavy: Andrzej Wawrzyk (16-0) W PTS 10 Alex Mazikin (13-4-1). Light Heavy: Dawid Kostecki (32-1) W TKO 1 Istvan Varga (15-10). Welter: Krzysztof Bienias Welter (39-3) W PTS 8 Bronislav Kubin (9-1). Cruiser: Lukasz Janik (16-1) W TKO 1 Istvan Orsos (0-10-1).Kolodziej retained IBC title as he batters experienced Calloway who is down four times and fails to answer bell for sixth. Calloway a cuts loser here to Audley Harrison in 2003.Wawrzyk retains WBC Youth title on close unanimous decision. Kostecki takes only 104 seconds to stop soft-chinned Romanian. Easy unanimous for Bienias, unbeaten in 15 since stoppage loss to Junior Witter in 2004, against Czech novice. Janik mis-match disgrace.
 
Tijuana, Mexico: Feather: Miguel Beltran Jr (22-0) W PTS 10 Miguel Roman (28-6).  Light: Ricardo Dominguez (30-5-2) W KO 2 Reyes Sanchez (17-3-1). Finals of Mexican “Campeon Azteca” reality show. Beltran wins feather competition in tough bout with Roman and Dominguez upsets favourite Sanchez at light.
 
Ratigny, France: Light Middle: Cedric Vitu (27-1) W TKO 3 Domingos Monteiro (19-15-4). Southpaw Vitu scores four knockdowns in easy victory.
 
Galanta, Slovakia: Light Heavy: Tamas Kovacs (15-0) W PTS 12 Samson Onyango (19-5). Kovacs wins vacant WBF title over Kenyan on scores of 116-114, 117-112 twice. Onyango lasted less than a round against Nat Cleverly in Commonwealth challenge in February.
 
East London, South Africa: Feather: Thando Vukuza (9-4-1) W TKO 10 Sabelo Jubatha (10-1). A loser if it went to the cards, novice Jubatha floors southpaw champion Vukuza at end of ninth and halts him in tenth to win South African title.
 
Hinckley, USA: Middle: Fernando Guerrero (17-0) W TKO 4 Jessie Nicklow (19-2-2). Light Middle: Shawn Porter (12-0) W TKO Jamar Patterson (8-1). Southpaw Guerrero too classy for brawler Nicklow and floors and stops him. Easy for Olympic alternate Porter who floors and finishes Patterson with left hooks.

La Guaira, Venezuela: Light: Edwin Valero (26-0) W TKO 6 Hector Velasquez (51-14-2, 1 ND). Bad nose injury and cut from head clashes in the first round do not discourage Valero who overwhelms Mexican. Velasquez does not come out for seventh round. First defence of WBC title for Valero and now 26 by KO/TKO.
 
Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico: Feather: Cristobal Cruz (39-11-2, 1ND) TEC DRAW 3 Ricardo Castillo (38-7-1) .Super Bantam: Giovanni Caro (14-8-4) W KO 1 Alex De Oliveira (16-1). Cruz cut by clash of heads in first and cut opened again in third and fight stopped. Since only two rounds completed decision technical draw. Cruz retains IBF title for third time. Third unsuccessful world title shot for Mexican champion Castillo. Brazilian De Oliveira losses for first time as he is kayoed by two punch combo from Mexican champion Caro.
 
Ciudad Obregon, Mexico: Bantam: Nehomar Cermeno (19-0) W KO 11 Alex Valdez (22-4-2). Light: Humberto Soto (50-7-2, 1ND) W PTS 10 Jesus Chavez (44-7).Fly: Herman Marquez (27-0) W KO 2 Ric Armenta (9-4-1). Welter: Omar Chavez (19-0-1) W TKO 2 Carlos Urrea (8-15). Light: Antonio Lozada Jr (21-0) W KO 1 Jesus Valenzuela (4-7-1). Wild fight sees southpaw Valdez cut in the first and knocked down twice in second and champion Cermeno lose a point in the eleventh for kneeing the Mexican. In between the clever Venezuelan dominated with his better boxing before flooring the attacking Valdez twice for a stoppage. Cermeno retains WBA interim title. In a non title bout, at lightweight, Soto and  37-year-old Chavez just as wild with Chavez given a mandatory eight count in first, having a point deducted for throwing Soto almost out of the ring down in the fourth and another point for flooring Soto with a low punch in the sixth, with Soto requiring almost five minutes before being able to resume In between the madness Soto was doing the better work and all three officials had it 100-87 for the WBC super feather champion, but this was a real war. Now 20 by KO/TKO for southpaw “Tyson” Marquez as he puts away Armenta with a heavy right to the chin. With Dad watching at ringside, Omar, 19, floors Urrea twice in safe match. Lozada, just 19, makes it 18 by KO/TKO, 13 in the first round.
 
Schwerin, Germany: Light Heavy: Juergen Braehmer (35-2) W PTS 12 Dmitry Sukhotsky (14-1). Middle: Sebastian Zbik (28-0) W PTS 12 Emanuele Della Rosa. (22-1) Cruiser: Alex Alexeev (19-1) W ko Daniel Ammann (18-3-1). Light Middle: Damian Jonak (24-0-1) W PTS 8 Nicolas Guisset (20-16-1). Feather: Marcel Meyerdiercks (15-0) W” PTS 8 Felix Lora (8-6-3). Fly: Pal Bedak (6-0) W KO 2 Lahcene Zemmouri (17-13-1). Se-saw battle as southpaw Braehmer wins early rounds only for Russian to have him badly hurt and cut in tenth. Braehmer rebounds to finish strongly retaining his WBO title and winning on scores of 118-110 and 116-112 twice. Zbik retains his interim WBC title, but only just. Both fighters cut in second round and bout close all the way (despite how one official scored it). Zbik takes split decision on scores of 116-112, 113-115 and 120-109 !!!. Former WBO interim title challenger Alexeev kayos out of his depth Australian southpaw in second. Jonak gets close, unanimous decision over Frenchman. Meyerdiercks gets wide unanimous points win over Dominican. Another quick win for hot Hungarian prospect.
 
Youngstown, USA: Middle: Kelly Pavlik (36-1) W TKO 5 Miguel Espino (20-3-1). Light Middle: Vanes Martirosyan (26-0) W TKO 3 Willie Lee (17-6). Heavy: Samuel Peter (33-3) W TKO 4 Gabe Brown (18-13-4).Feather: Miguel Angel “Mikey” Garcia (18-0) W KO 3 Yogli Herrera (22-11). Middle: Matt Korobov (9-0) W TKO 3 Ken Dunham (6-12-1). Pavlik and Espino go to war. Espino deducted a point for a blow after the bell ending the first round. Pavlik strength and power tell and he floors Espino twice with uppercuts in fourth in fourth with stoppage when “Contenders” participant is down again from another uppercut in fifth. First fight for Pavlik since October 2008 loss to Hopkins. “The Ghost” retains WBC and WBO titles. Former Olympian Martirosyan overwhelms boondocks southpaw Lee with two knockdowns in third to add NABO to his NABF title. Peter ignores clowning by Brown and floors and halts Floridian, who is without a win in his last ten. After two quiet rounds Garcia floors Herrera with a left hook and again with a right cross, this time for the count. Russian former world amateur champion Korobov floors poor Dunham in first and again in third for stoppage.
 
Caguas, Puerto Rico: Light Welter: Jose Miguel Cotto (31-1-1) W TKO 6 Ilido Julio (39-16-1).
 
Zaporozhye, Ukraine: Light Middle: Zaurbek Baysangurov ( 23-1) W TKO 5 Frank Shabani (18-2, 1ND). Light Middle: Dmitry Nikulin (20-0) W KO 3 Abdulaziz Matazimov (10-4). Light Heavy: Vitaliy Rusal (25-1) W TKO 3 Abor Oripov (3-2-1). Heavy: Andre Rudenko (16-0) W TKO 3 Avaz Rustamov (2-4). Light Welter: Sergey Fedchenko (24-1) W PTS 8 Sherzodbek Mamajanov (8-3-4). Former undefeated European champion Baysangurov dominates and retains WBA Inter-Continental title as Serbian-born Shabani injures his hand in third and retires with the injury at the end of the fifth. Local guy Nikulin wins vacant WBO European title as he finishes Uzbek with a body punch. Now at light heavy, former EBU cruiser contender Rusal hits too hard for Uzbek who does not come out for round four. Heavy Rudenko makes it nine by KO/TKO with easy win over yet another poor Uzbek, and Fedechenko bounces back from loss to South African Silence Mabuza winning every round.
 
La Louviere, Belgium: Bantam: Carmelo Ballone ( 22-4-1) W T DEC 8 Vincente Palicte (10-2-1). Ballone, who lost his European title here to Ian Napa in October 2008, wins vacant WBC International title. Belgian cut in first in clash of heads and in front of Filipino on all three cards when fight stopped in eighth.
 
Ekaterinburg, Russia: Light Middle: Lukas Konecny (41-3) W PTS 8 Sergey Khomitski (21-7-1). Heavy: Denis Bakhtov (32-5) W KO 1 Edgar Kalnars (20-22).Welter: Ilian Ares (17-2-1) W PTS Sergey Starkov (16-54-2). Czech Konecny , a former WBO title challenger, wins easily, but taken the distance by experienced Belarus. Bakhtov, who has wins over Matt Ellis and Keith Long, takes out poor Kalnars in just 15 seconds. Latvian Kalnars was stopped in one round by Attila Levin just 22 days before and needs to be protected from his management. Ares, a Bulgarian, taken the distance by travelling loser Starkov.
 
Managua, Nicaragua: Light Fly: Johnriel Casimero (14-0) W KO 11 Cesar Canchilla (28-3). Straw: Carlos Buitrago (13-0 W TKO 7 Edgar Jimenez (5-3-1). Light: Super Fly: Evert Briceno (32-5-1) W PTS 10 Juan Mercedes (24-3). In upset, Filipino newcomer Casimero,19, floors Colombian former WBA interim champion in third, sixth and ninth rounds. Canchilla looks to have boxed his way back into it in eleventh until thunderous overhand right lands and he is floored. Badly hurt a second right put the Colombian down and out and Filipino wins vacant WBO interim title. Buitrago, just 18, climbs off floor in fourth to score knockdown and force stoppage in seventh and win WBO Youth title. Close fight sees Briceno lose first three rounds and suffer a cut, but he comes on strong to win on scores of 97-94, 96-94 and 95-95 over Dominican for WBO Latino title.

Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania: Middle: Francis Cheka (19-6-1) W KO 2 Isak Tavares (14-8). Bantam: Mbwana Matumla (19-4) W KO 5 Festus Omondi (8-2). Cheka took Paul Smith and Matthew Macklin the distance in fights here. Southpaw Matumla probably the best fighter in Tanzania, but at 34 running out of time.
